Product Description
Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan was the ruler of Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) from 1966 until his death in 2004. During his reign, which began shortly after the start of oil production, the Emir set many modernization projects into motion. He also introduced a formal government structure, with departments developed to handle specific tasks. Priority was given to build basic housing facilities, schools, health services, and the construction of an airport, a sea port, and roads.
This silver coin bearing his likeness was issued by the National Museum of Al-Ain to commemorate its 30th anniversary.
The coin comes in a protective plastic case set inside a red velveteen box. This highly collectible coin would make an excellent addition to any collection. It would be a great gift, too.
