Abu Dhabi, 15June 2010 – H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and President of Abu Dhabi University’s Board of Trustees, attended last night fourth graduation ceremony for the university’s both undergraduate and postgraduate students, held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).
This fourth cohort of ADU graduates included 358 students, 64 percent of them are UAE nationals.
In a speech delivered on his behalf by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education ‘&’ Scientific Research, Sheikh Hamdan praised the unlimited support given by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and General H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces to the education.
Khulood Al Zaabi delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates in which she thanked Sheikh Hamdan for lending patronage to the event, describing Abu Dhabi University as a leading centre for science and technology.
Sheikh Hamdan distributed certificates and prizes to the graduates. He also received a memento on the occasion from Ali Saeed bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Chairman of Abu Dhabi University’s Executive Board.
