SRINAGAR, May 13: Omar led coalition government is seized with promotion of tourism industry in the State to augment employment avenues for the people associated with it. This was stated by Advisor to Chief Minister Mubarak Gul while interacting with a group of media persons here today.
Gul, who recently returned after participation in “Arab Trade Mart Festival” at Dubai, said that State government is striving to woo tourists from abroad to visit Jammu and Kashmir. He said the government has adopted multipronged strategy to showcase state’s rich and varied tourism potential both within and outside the country.
He said during his meeting at Dubai, he highlighted state’s tourist attractions and exquisite handicraft products. He discussed tourism facilities the State offers and invited them to participate in the Golf Championship being organized by State tourism department every year on world famous golf courses. He said that Dubai Government has invited State Government to hold handicrafts and food festival at Dubai during the month of Ramzan.
He said efforts are on to make Overseas Employment Corporation more active so that job opportunities in Gulf States are identified for educated and skilled youth of the State.
