WAM Fujairah, Jan 16th, 2009 (WAM): Crown Prince of Fujairah HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi attended the first Fujairah Rebec (Rababa) Festival on Thursday evening. The festival was organised by the Fujairah Authority for Culture and Information.
Rababa is a three-stringed medieval instrument is one of the earliest bowed stringed instruments popular in the Gulf region.
The two-day meet held at the Fujairah Cultural Centre run by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development will attract several artists in the region.
