World’s tallest hotel being built in Dubai to dwarfs Burj Khalifa

Ciel Tower in Dubai Marina in the UAE is set to become the world’s tallest hotel, which will span 104 storeys and cost £388 million to complete — and it will surely dwarf Burj Khalifa.

The world’s tallest hotel will stand at 365m tall. In addition, it will offer 360-degree views over Dubai Marina, the Palm Jumeirah and the Arabian Gulf, once it is complete, according to Express.co.uk.

It is going to to have 1,042 rooms, including 150 suites, which will be present across the tower’s 82 floors.

Ciel Tower in Dubai Marina in the UAE is being built by Immo Prestige Limited.

At the 2019 International Property Awards, the building has already achieved awards for Best International Hotel Architecture, Best Hotel Architecture Arabia and Best High-rise Architecture Arabia despite not being fully constructed yet.

More than 2,700 tonnes of steel and about 12,000 cubic metres of concrete were used for the skyscraper’s foundation.

The building is expected to be opened this year within the first quarter of the year.

JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, the world’s second tallest hotel is also in Dubai, which is 355m and has 82 floors.

Rob Burns, CEO of The First Group, who has invested in the hotel, said he was looking forward to its opening.

He said: “We are thrilled to bring Ciel to Dubai’s skyline, a ground-breaking project that will redefine upscale hospitality and showcase the best of what the city has to offer.”
