Ras Al Khaimah, 14th November, 2024 — The Ras Al Khaimah Knowledge Department (RAKKD) in the Ras Al Khaimah Government has launched the Golden Residency Programme, which aims to attract and retain the best teachers currently working in public and private schools in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
This programme provides teachers with the appropriate professional qualifications with the opportunity to obtain long-term residency in the United Arab Emirates, allowing them to reside in the country under their own sponsorship.
This programme was designed to attract and retain exceptional talent in the education sector, including principals, deputy principals, department heads and teachers in schools in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Abdulrahman Al Naqbi, Board Member of Ras Al Khaimah Knowledge Authority, said that the programme is a tribute to the vital role teachers play in improving the quality of education in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Through this initiative, we express our deep appreciation for the valuable contributions of teachers, which are in line with the Authority’s vision of developing a world-class education system. He stressed the commitment to developing an educational environment that supports talent and innovation, which contributes to enhancing educational services and ensuring the continued success of students.
The Golden Residency Programme targets two main categories: school principals, including school principals, their deputies, and department heads, and the teachers category, which includes all qualified teachers currently working in government and private schools in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
As the RAK Knowledge Department is the government entity responsible for the private education sector in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, the department will support and facilitate the application process to qualify for the Golden Residency, based on specific criteria, including working and residing for a period of no less than three years in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, obtaining an advanced degree, and demonstrating a positive impact on the performance of the school in which the teacher works.
While the application process is designed to be simple and efficient, for more information please visit the Golden Residency for Teachers of Government and Private Schools in Ras Al Khaimah.
Teachers must submit a set of documents including a letter of notification of their appointment, their academic qualifications, proof of residence and work in the emirate, in addition to proof of their contributions to improving the performance of their schools.
After completing the documents, the department will review the application, then send confirmation of eligibility to teachers to go to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship to obtain the golden residency.
