Product Description
This provocative and disturbing book is about the transformation of Europe into “Eurabia,” a cultural and political appendage of the Arab/Muslim world. Eurabia is fundamentally anti-Christian, anti-Western, anti-American, and antisemitic, while striving for Israel’s disappearance and the vilification and isolation of America. The institution responsible for this transformation, and that continues to propagate its ideological message, is the Euro-Arab Dialogue, developed by European and Arab politicians and intellectuals over the past thirty years. With all the drama of a master writer, Bat Ye’or presents a wide range of historical and contemporary documents and facts to tell the story of how the European Union is being subverted by Islamic hostility to the very ethics and values of Europe itself. Readers who seek a fair resolution of the Arab-Israel conflict will be shocked by the evidence produced in these pages of unfair pressures and deliberate distortions. Europe’s independence of spirit is shown in the process of being undermined. This book challenges the current demonization of Israel and should be essential reading for everyone interested in true peace in the Middle East

  1. I have never read such an exagerated propaganda in all my life’s reading and academic studies. Bat Ye’or needs to repent and to apologize to the world especially to Jews, Christians and Muslims. Ye’or must have undergone some sort of trauma as a child with a bit of brainwashing by the zionist movement. I do not recommend anyone to invest in this unscholarly crap. The book trashes everyone except the zionist movements and its supporters. I wish I could rate this book a zero rather than 1 star. Ye’or and her followers need psychological and mental help. If you do not believe me read the book with a critical eye and you will question her credibility and dismiss her as a fanatical zionist for blood.

  2. The book is based on false premises and a lack of broader understanding. There wouldn’t be millions of Muslims in Europe if the White Europeans didn’t have such a low birthrate. The Muslims arrive there for work and those countries need their labor. Are Arabs to blame because Euros refuse to have children? I don’t think so.

  3. Honestly, how do people like this author get any credibility among the masses?

Well I am an Egyptian, not an Arab since I am a Christian. Egypt was a Christian state before the Muslim jihads. In fact Christianity was in Egypt before Peter established it in Europe. In any case, for someone who is not a Muslim, but has lived the better half of my life among Muslims in a Muslim country, I would say I am some sort of an authority on this subject.

I really do not know what history books Bat Ye’Or got her extensive knowledge from, but I never read a more disgusting Jewish propaganda/anti-Arab book in my life. Lies, exaggerations, illogical interpretations, unfounded accusations and absolute nonsense fill almost every page of this book.

What are more disgusting are the positive reviews of other readers. Of course everyone is entitled to an opinion, but come on people, think for yourself a little, instead of just jumping on a band wagon.

It is this kind of attitude and thinking that fuels the jewish/arab conflicts. Between Islamic fundamentalism/extremism and Bat Ye’Or’s way of thinking, it is obvious that we will never see an end to hatred, racism, and prejudice.

  4. “Bat-Ye’or” wants to convince us that Islam has a stranglehold on Europe, that European politicians have been turned into submissive “dhimmis”, and that all their policies on the Israeli-Arab dispute are dictated by the Arabs. She wants us to believe that Europe is motivated only by fear of losing their source of oil, fear of terrorism, and a desire to form a European-Arab axis to stand up to America.

Bat-Ye’or conveniently ignores whatever goes against her thesis, or else gives a very contrived interpretation of things. She is totally one-sided in her approach to the Arab-Israeli problem, never admitting that Israel is at all to blame. She believes that the Jews were simply exerting their rights when they took over most of the Holy Land (after campaigning hard to have the UN divide it into two states–a fact Bat-Ye’or ignores).

I am somewhat sympathetic to some of Bat-Ye’or’s opinions, but I disagree with those who praise her analysis and her writing.

In general I find the book quite poorly written. A discerning eye will notice that she is presenting biased points of view as though she is presenting facts. This really diminishes her credibility, so that I don’t trust her when she’s talking about things I don’t know much about. There are also quite a few sentences that are not well written. Sometimes she says really ridiculous things and gets herself tied up into knots. She gives me the impression of a not-very-good high school student who is trying to write a paper in support of a certain position, and who tries to think of every possible thing that could be interpreted as supporting her position!

So generally, I do not find her very convincing when she says that Europe has simply buckled and surrendered to the Islamic jihad. There is certainly some truth to the idea that Europe has been influenced by the desire to please the Arabs, but that is much too simple an explanation of history. Bat-Ye’or is obviously not the right person to analyze the question of to what extent Europe is bowing to pressure and to what extent it is acting on good will and conviction. She paints everything the Europeans do as cowardice.

I think this book is written for those who already think like her, and anybody else would find it practically useless. The amount I found interesting could have been written in a few pages.
