Al Safeer Mall opens in Ras Al Khaimah

Dubai The Sharjah-based Al Safeer Group opened its fourth shopping and leisure mall in the UAE in Ras Al Khaimah.

The new mall was officially opened by Ahmad Bin Amer, the RAK Director for EIDA.

On the opening day, more than 30,000 people visited the mall, the first of its kind in Ras Al Khaimah, which features a major Safeer hypermarket as its flagship store and about 100 other retail outlets as well as restaurants, a Jungle Bungle family entertainment centre and parking for 1,500 cars.

Total retail space covers a massive 500,000 square metres.

“Although this was a ‘soft opening’ without any official ceremony, the public interest was, and continues to be, extraordinary,” said Mahesh Kalwani, chief operating officer of the Al Safeer Group.

“It is extremely encouraging and gives an early indication that the Al Safeer Shopping mall concept will be successful in different emirates throughout the country.”

Built at a cost of Dh200 million, Safeer Mall Ras Al Khaimah is strategically located in the heart of the local community area of Kharan.

The centre is fully subscribed and all the units expect to be ready for business by January.

Among the major brands that have contracted space in Safeer Mall are Damas, Springfield, Mother Care, Face Shop, Starbucks, Nando’s, Pizza Hut, KFC, UAE Exchange, Emirates Identity Authority and News Centre.

I am working in Rak Hotel as a Finance Manager, I went to visit safer Mall, I had KFC in the kids Zone – the guy who was taken an order was very indecent to welcome, don’t speak English. When I ask a question that do you speak English – he said this is Arabic country – I don’t thing he should work in KFC any where in the world. If you wanted the people to come specially with there kids in food corner they must have experience in hospitality business. Not dump – possible to pass this mail to KFC Management – Waiting for your reply
