Recent buzz around Damac Properties hinted at the company venturing into the aviation industry with a mysterious project called “Damac Air.” Social media posts and a dedicated website showcased aircraft with Damac Air branding, flight destinations, and luxury travel promises to exotic locales like Bali, Maldives, and Hawaii. Naturally, speculation soared: was Dubai’s largest private real estate developer entering the skies?
However, Amira Sajwani, Managing Director of Damac, firmly debunked the rumors during the launch of the company’s new master development, Damac Island. “I want to clarify that we are not coming out with an airline,” she stated. Instead, the campaign was revealed to be a clever marketing initiative for Damac Islands, a high-end waterfront villa community inspired by tropical destinations.
Damac Air was never intended to be a real airline. It was a promotional effort inviting global audiences to dream of far-off paradises, with lucky participants winning tickets to travel to those destinations. This imaginative strategy was aimed at highlighting the opulent lifestyle promised by Damac Islands, a project located in the Al Qudra area and inspired by iconic island locales like Fiji, Seychelles, and Bora Bora.
Damac Islands will feature luxury villas and townhouses priced from AED 2.5 million to AED 100 million, along with apartments starting at AED 600,000. The development boasts lagoons, floating yoga decks, waterfalls, and aqua parks, creating a resort-like living experience.
While Damac isn’t taking to the skies, its innovative marketing once again proves the company’s knack for capturing attention and blending luxury with imagination.
