SHARJAH: Saudi Prince Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Head of Pledge-Allegiance Commission met the UAE Balloon Team here today. He was briefed by the UAE Balloon Team, led by Captain Abdul Aziz Nasser Al Mansouri, to take part in this year’s edition of the Al Janadriyah, an annual cultural festival held in the Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Chairman of the Higher Committee of the 7th UAE International Balloon Festival and Cup, Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mualla, also briefed Prince Meshaal on preparations to launch the King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud Balloon at this year’s festival in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The event to be held in December this year will also see the launch of the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Balloon Cup, the “Faris Al-Arab” (Arabic for the Arab Knight) Balloon Cup, the Spirit of the Union Balloon and the Gharbia Balloon will be launched at the same event.

In remarks at the meeting, Prince Meshaal hailed the achievements of the UAE in different spheres to advance prosperity and success in society. He also praised the achievements of the UAE Balloon Team in international competitions.
